About Pene
I studied art at the Ruskin School of Fine Art in Oxford, England. I went on to do further study at Sir John Cass, Central St. Martins in London and Chelsea School of Art.
I enjoy the very tactile nature of making sculpture. To visualise and create an image in 3D is exciting. I love researching and making my large animal sculptures imagining a bit of their character!
My Rhinoceros, Rowena, and her daughter, Roberta, are on permanent display at The Light Cinema Stockport where they have been given their own special space.
Other work is in private collections in England, Scotland, Europe and the USA.
During the Summer I exhibit my sculptures and recently they have been at Kifstgate Court in the Cotswolds, Grey’s Court near Henley, Spetchley Park in Worcestershire.
I have exhibited at the RWA in Bristol and at the Old Naval College in Greenwich, London, the New English Art Club and Royal British Artists at the Mall Galleries. Past exhibitions have been in Chelsea and at the Lennox Gallery in Fulham, London. I am a member of the Oxford Sculptors Group, the Bruton Art Society in Somerset, the Blackheath Art Society.
